This is an incredibly beautiful and powerful and frightening image. The piercing eye, the steel-blue beak, the crown of feathers, the astounding light shining in the feathers of the lower body, the dark and light of the king against the green bokeh of the background, and the tight cropping all contribute. This is one of the best pictures I've ever seen.
